Josephine Krapf (Jo), age 96, of New Holland, formerly of Downingtown, died at hospice on Friday October 21, 2016.
Jo was born in Guthrieville, daughter of the late H. Wilson Robinson and the late Edna Moore Robinson. She was married to the late Warren Krapf for 68 years.
Jo is survived by her only child, daughter Cheryl J. Krapf of New Holland and her sister Dorothy Smedley of Downingtown and was preceded in death by her brother Charles.
A member of Hopewell United Methodist Church for most of her life, Jo served as president of the Epworth League, ushered at the Passion Play and taught young children in Sunday School. Most recently, she attended St. Stephen Reformed Church.
In addition to caring for her family and household, she was actively involved in her husband’s businesses. Retiring from owning and operating school buses in West Chester in 1983, Jo and husband Warren moved to New Holland.
In her free time, she enjoyed golf, reading, crafts, needlework, adventures to Europe with daughter Cheryl and the companionship of family dogs.
Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral service on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Bower Chapel of Hopewell United Methodist Church, 852 Hopewell Road, Downingtown, PA with Pastor Vicki Pry and Rev. Dr. Timothy Witmer officiating. Entombment will be in the family mausoleum. Daughter Cheryl will receive friends on Thursday at the Chapel from 10 – 11 a.m. Kindly omit flowers.
