Obituary for Florence S. Stauffer (Hoover)
Florence S. Stauffer, 56, of 382-A Ranck Church Road, New Holland, died Friday, August 31, 2018 at Lancaster General Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Ephrata she was a daughter of Ivan N. and Esther Z. (Shirk) Hoover of Narvon. She was married 27 years on May 23 to Lloyd N. Stauffer.
Florence was a homemaker and a member of Weaverland Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference.
Surviving in addition to her husband and parents are five children, Daniel, married to Erma (Fox) Stauffer of East Earl, Vernon, married to Carolyn (Martin) Stauffer of Narvon, Esther, married to Cletus Burkholder of Fleetwood, John Ivan and Ella Mae Stauffer both at home; a grandson; and nine brothers and sisters, Irene, married to David Eberly, Vernon, married to Mary Ella Hoover, Edward, married to Lucy Hoover, Esther, married to Lowell Zimmerman, Mary Hoover, and Miriam Hoover, all of Dundee, NY, Vera, married to Nelson Hoover, Joseph, married to Esther Mae Hoover, and Anna Hoover, all of Narvon.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 5 at 9 am at her late home with further services at 9:30 am at Weaverland Mennonite Church with the Bishop Titus Martin officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. Viewing will be held at her late home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Kindly omit flowers. Arrangements by Groff-High Funeral Home, New Holland.
