Obituary for Earl B. Good
Earl B. Good, 89, of Terre Hill, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 5, 2018. He was the husband of Emma Good who predeceased him September 14, 2017.
He was the son of the late Joseph and Ivy Good.
He was an area resident all his life, attending Wide Hollow School and started his working days at Harold Good Feed Mill. He also worked for Burkholder Paving, Gehman Feed Mill, and as a lime salesman for Burkholder’s, Baker’s and Martin Limestone.
He was a member of Goodville Mennonite Church. He enjoyed his flowers, woodcarving, painting and gardening. He also enjoyed the times he spent at the cabin he shared with his brothers. He dearly loved his family and friends.
He is survived by five children: Darrell (Carol Nafziger), Barbara (Nelson Sauder), Janet (John Sauder), Dale (Sharon Zimmerman) and Joe (Kay Martin), 21 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Beatrice Brubaker and a sister-in-law, Minerva Good.
He was predeceased by these brothers and sisters: Lester Good, Wilmer Good, Grace Horning, Lewis Good, Howard Good, Marvin Good, Jennie Weaver, Warren Good, Anna Hoover, Joseph Good and Harry Good.
A viewing will be held at Weaverland, 210 Weaverland Valley Rd., East Earl on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 from 6 – 8 p.m. A funeral will be held at Weaverland on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at 10 a.m. with a viewing 1 hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Water Street Ministries, 210 S. Prince St., Lancaster, PA 17603. The Eckenroth Home for funerals, Terre Hill is in charge of arrangements.
