Obituary for Jeffry R. Hurst
Jeffry R. Hurst, 63, of Leola, died Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at his home.
Born in Ephrata, he was a son of the late Robert and Laverne (Landis) Hurst. He was married over 40 years to Jane A. (Roland) Hurst.
Jeffry was a truck driver, retiring in Oct. 2016 after 5 years with Ewell Trucking. Prior to that he worked over 25 years as a truck driver for Quality Custom Cabinetry.
He enjoyed NASCAR and was an avid bowler in his younger years.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Michelle, married to Steven Strohm of Lancaster, and Tiffany, married to Adam Gehman of Lititz; three grandchildren, Anthony, Alexa, and Connor; a brother, Robert, married to Sandy Hurst of Carolina Shores, NC; and a sister, Carol, married to Charles Fordham of The Villages, FL.
Preceding him in death is a grandson, Jaxen Gehman.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 18 at 2 pm at the Groff-High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main St., New Holland with the Reverend Jimm Roland officiating. Interment will be in the Trumbauer Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive guests on Monday from 1-2 pm.
