James F.  Chubb
James F. Chubb, 86, of New Holland, died Friday, March 16, 2018 at Garden Spot Village.
Born in Mt. Carmel, he was the son of the late Charles F. and Laura (Everet) Chubb. He was married 41 years on May 8 to Eleanor S. (Smith) Sohl Chubb. His first wife, Joan Kathryn (Erney) Chubb died in 1973.
Jim retired in 1991 after 40 years as a machinist with Wiedemann Division of Warner and Swasey in King of Prussia.
He was a member of Christian Fellowship Church in New Holland and a former member of F&AM Lodge 322 in West Chester.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two children, Karen, married to Russell McWhorter of St. Albans, WV, and Bruce, married to Susan Chubb of Downingtown; four grandchildren, Brandy Waybright, Jennie Judy, Bruce Chubb, and Frank Chubb; four great grandchildren, Julianna Judy, McKenzie Phaln, Jayden Churchill, and Gabriella Waybright.
Preceding him in death is a twin brother, John F. Chubb; and a sister, Eleanor Placido.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 22 at 11 am at Christian Fellowship Church, 758 Spruce Road, New Holland with viewing from 9:30 – 11 am. Interment will be on Friday at 11 am at Hillside Cemetery in Roslyn, PA. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Garden Spot Village Benevolent Fund, 433 S.
