Mary J.  Trout (McCoy)
Mary J. (McCoy) Trout, 69, of Ephrata, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at WellSpan Ephrata Hospital. She was the loving wife of Ira K. Trout, Jr., with whom she shared over 51 years of marriage.

Born in Ephrata, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Martha (Warren) McCoy.

Mary worked as a retail sales associate and in her spare time enjoyed collecting McCoy pottery and owl memorabilia, solving jigsaw puzzles, watching crime dramas, and sitting in the sunshine.

In addition to her husband, Mary is survived by two sons: Ira C. Trout, husband of Sherry, of Mt. Joy, and Timothy P. Trout, husband of Wendy, of Ephrata; 3 siblings: Paula Shirk of Shirktown, Jackie Troop of New Holland, and Alvin McCoy, husband of Bonnie, of Morgantown; 5 grandchildren: Natasha, Ryan, Zachary, Shayna, and Brandan; and a great-granddaughter, Aryana.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her twin sister Martha Rose Gordon, her brother Michael L. McCoy, and her brothers-in-law Robert Shirk and Gerald Troop.

Funeral services will be held privately by the family. Interment will be in the United Methodist Cemetery of Churchtown. Kindly omit flowers. Arrangements by Eckenroth Home for Funerals, Terre Hill.
