Obituary for Mildred L. Martin
Mildred L. Martin, 86, of 121 Ewell Rd., East Earl, died Friday, August 11, 2017 at Hershey Medical Center. Her husband of 51 years, LeRoy E. Martin, preceded her in death in 2002. Together, they farmed in Chester County for many years.
Born in East Earl Twp., she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Etta (Martin) Weaver.
She was a member of Weaverland Mennonite Church where she taught Sunday School for 35 years and was involved with the sewing circle. She also attended Christian Fellowship Church.
Surviving are three children: Lee married to Cathy (Bewley) Martin, New Holland, Lew married to Deborah (Livengood) Martin, Gap, and Lynn married to Lewis M. Good, Mohnton, 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and five siblings: Joseph married to Pauline Weaver, Lancaster, Robert married to Karen Weaver, Chamblee, GA, Miriam married to I. Leroy Nolt, New Holland, Susan married to Stan Godshall, Harrisonburg, VA, Dale married to Debbie Weaver, Mechanicsburg.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Weaverland Mennonite Church. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. A viewing will be held at the church on Wednesday from 6 – 8 p.m. and on Thursday from 9 – 10 a.m. The Groff-High Funeral Home, New Holland is in charge of arrangements.
