Obituary for Raymond T. Good

Raymond T. Good, 83, of Ephrata, went home to be with Jesus on July 12, 2017 at Zerbe Retirement Community in Narvon.
Born in Hinkletown, he was a son of the late Harvey and Alice (Taylor) Good. He would have been married 60 years on August 10 to Nancy (Stoltzfus) Good.
Raymond was a member of the Hinkletown Mennonite Church and the Stoney Brook Hunting Camp. He worked as a farmer for 20 years and later worked in construction at Weber Brothers, Mervin Miller, Stoltzfus Enterprise, Horst Construction, and The Mennonite Home. He took two years off from work to build the addition for Hinkletown Mennonite Church.
Raymond enjoyed singing in different male choruses and quartets. He began singing tenor in The Word of Truth Quartet as a teenager and continued for over 20 years singing for church programs and weddings. He also played fast pitch softball for many years and later was a coach.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three children, Lois, married to J. Martin Hoover of Mohnton, Elaine, married to Cory Sensenig of Denver, and Donald, married to Lyndell (Martin) Good of Ephrata; 9 grandchildren, Jenny, married to Scott Martin, Renee, married to Kenny Grube, Holly, married to Brian Oberholtzer, Josh, married to Gwen (Weaver) Hoover, Kayloni, married to Bret Kurtz, Kelsi Good, Carson, married to Jen (martin) Good, Natalie Sensenig, and Laura Sensenig; 8 great grandchildren, Trenton, Travis, and Angela Martin, Leah, Jake, Dalton, and Gracie Grube, and Josephine Oberholtzer; a brother, Lester T., married to Katherine (Eckenrode) Good of Ephrata; and a sister-in-law, Vera (Fox) Good of Manheim.
Preceding him in death is a sister, Edna Good; and a brother, Paul T. Good.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 18 at 10 am at Hinkletown Mennonite Church, 2031 Division Hwy., Ephrata, with the Reverends Glenn Sauder, Jerold Martin, and Gerald Fox officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. Viewing will be held at the Church on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and on Tuesday from 9-10 am.
