Harold K.  Witmer
Harold K. “Bud” Witmer, 86, of New Holland, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at his residence. He was the loving husband of June H. (Hillard) Witmer, with whom he shared over 67 years of marriage.

Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Morris B. and Esther (Husson) Witmer.

Bud was a member of Ranck’s U. M. Church and worked as a salesman. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, playing guitar, and especially spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Bud is survived by 3 children: Richard J. Witmer, husband of June D., John E. Witmer, husband of Stephanie, and Jessie L. Shirk, wife of Paul, all of New Holland; 7 grandchildren: Crystal M. Gruber, wife of Matthew, Deanna Paparo, Corbin Witmer, Lindsay Witmer, Joshua A. Witmer, husband of Nicole, Esther Shirk, and Amanda Shirk; 3 great-grandchildren, Samantha Gruber, Austin Paparo, and Trinity Gruber; and 4 siblings.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his granddaughter, Adrianne Witmer.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 10 AM at Ranck’s U. M. Church, 700 Ranck Rd., New Holland PA 17557 with Pastor Elaine Bortman officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. Viewing will be held on Saturday from 9-10 AM at the church. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Bud’s memory to the New Holland Ambulance Association, 101 E. Franklin St., New Holland PA 17557.
