Minerva W. Horst, 85, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday April 29, 2017.
She was born in Upper Leacock on April 19, 1932 to the late David G. and Lizzie W. Horst.
She is survived by her husband Mervin S. Horst, son Eugene Horst married to Pamela, daughter Shirley married to Jay Enck, son David Horst married to Cheryl, six grandchildren: Tara Davis, Heather Morris, Matthew Horst, Jonathan Enck, Heidi Moore, Timothy Horst, and seven great-grandchildren.
She is survived by a sister Arlene Reiff. She was preceded in death by sisters Mildred Nolt and Florence Stauffer and a brother Marvin Horst.
She loved quilting, jigsaw puzzles, and word searches. She enjoyed camping, fishing, snowmobiling, and riding three-wheeler. She traveled to Israel, Turkey, Europe, and most of the U.S.
As a teen she worked in a garment factory. She was a homemaker and helped her husband at M.S. Horst Garage and start a church in Little Valley, NY and lived in California while her husband attended seminary.
There will be a viewing Thursday, May 4, 5:00-8:00pm at Garden Spot Village Chapel, New Holland. The funeral will be Friday, May 5 at 10:30am with a viewing at 9:30am at Christian Fellowship Church, New Holland. She will be interred in the CFC Cemetery.
