Obituary for Charlotte D. Beavers (Davis)

Charlotte D. Beavers, 79, of Breinigsville, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest.

Born in Coatesville, she was a daughter of the late Vernon “Barney” and Mildred (Troop) Davis.

Charlotte was a former member of Churchtown U.M Church and through her teen years was an organist at both Churchtown UMC and St. John’s Center U.C.C. She earned a B.A. in Elementary Education from West Chester University and as a teacher taught 3rd and 4th grade at various local schools throughout her career.

Charlotte is survived by her son, Brian Donnelly, husband of Georgina, of Lancaster, her daughter, Andrea Jones, wife of Daniel, of Breinigsville, her four grandchildren, Evan and Maura Jones and Rebecca and Roen Donnelly, and her niece Melanie Ritzman, wife of Alan, and their nine children.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Sandra Steierwald.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Groff-High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main St., New Holland PA 17557 with Pastor Ray Voran officiating. Interment will be held privately by the family. Viewing will be held on Thursday from 10 to 11 AM at the funeral home prior to services. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Charlotte’s memory to the ASPCA of Central PA, 2801 Bloom Rd., Danville PA 17821.
