Obituary for Marilyn F. Weaver (Yoder)

Marilyn F. Weaver, 47, of Reading, PA, died Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Reading Hospital from a brain hemorrhage.

Born in Millersburg, OH she was the daughter of Pastor Menno and Mary
(Kurtz) Yoder of Goshen, IN. She would have been married 25 years on July 3 to W. Ray Weaver.

Marilyn was a homemaker most of her life but worked for a time as a Medical Assistant in Phoenix, AZ and Ephrata, PA.

She was a member of New Covenant Mennonite Fellowship where she served as a
Sunday school teacher and taught Vacation Bible School. She was also a
Homeschool mom and enjoyed scrapbooking, hospitality, taking care of babies and the elderly, counseling with Crisis Pregnancy Center, and spending time with her family. She also served with Gospel Express as a secretary for a year and served with her husband and children as missionaries in Ghana, Africa for five years.

Surviving in addition to her parents and husband are 5 sons, Preston, married to Brieanna (Martin) Weaver of Adamstown, Kendrick, Adrian, Jeremy, and Karsten Weaver all at home; and two brothers and two sisters: Linda, wife of the late Wayne Chupp of Milford, IN, David, married to Laura Yoder of Goshen, IN, Barbara, married to Leon Geigley of Goshen, IN, and Joseph, married to Lorretta Yoder of New Paris, IN.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 16 at 10:30 AM at Hinkletown Mennonite Church, 2031 Division Hwy., Ephrata with the Reverend Luke Martin and the Reverend David Myer officiating. Private interment will be held at the New Covenant Mennonite Cemetery. Viewing will be held at the New Covenant Mennonite Church, 529 E. Farmersville Road, New Holland on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Door of Hope Ministries, 27 W. Mohler Ch. Rd., Ephrata, PA 17522.
