Obituary for Evelyn D. Bush (Sheaffer)
Evelyn D. Gehman Bush, 87, of Narvon, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Hospice & Community Care of Mt. Joy. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Eugene Y. Gehman, in 1989 and her second husband, Willis Bush, in 2008.
Born in Lancaster, Evelyn was the daughter of the late Martin and Sarah Jane (Diller) Sheaffer.
Evelyn was a member of Bridgeville E. C. Church, Narvon, where she taught Sunday School classes for over 38 years. She worked as a cafeteria worker who in her spare time enjoyed crocheting, fishing, and spending time with her family.
Evelyn is survived by two sons: Jeffrey D. Gehman, husband of Mary M., of Ephrata, and Sidney E. Gehman, husband of Susan L., of Narvon; and four grandchildren: Megan E. Shoemaker, wife of Sam, Bethany J. Garber, wife of Matt, Sarah E. Gehman, and Becca M. Gehman.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 2 PM at Bridgeville E.C. Church, 5971 Division Highway, Narvon PA 17555 with Pastor Kirk Wolfe officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. Viewing will be held on Saturday from 1-2 PM at the church prior to services. In lieu of flowers, donations in Evelyn’s memory can be made to Hospice & Community Care of Mt. Joy, 4075 Old Harrisburg Pike, Mount Joy, PA 17552 or to the Bridgeville E.C. Church, address above.
