Obituary for Lester D. Snader

Lester D.  Snader
Lester D. Snader, 87, of East Earl, died Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital. He is the husband of Janet (Reed) Snader of Ephrata.
Born in Narvon, he was the son of the late Daniel and Sarah (Crouse) Snader.
Lester was a truck farmer most of his life and operated a vegetable stand for 20 years in Shillington. He also hauled cattle and worked at Morgan Corporation for a time.
He was a member of Weaverland Mennonite Church and served as chorister for over 40 years at Goodville Mennonite Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, Merlin Snader of East Earl; a daughter, Twila Steffy of East Earl; two grandsons, Matthew and Jonathan Steffy; and a sister, Mary E. Snader of Landis Homes.
Preceding him in death are five brothers, Isaac, Noah, Paul, Daniel, and Titus Snader; and two sisters, Anna Mae Snader, and Ruth Zimmerman.
A service will be held on Monday, November 7 at 3:30 pm at Weaverland Mennonite Church, 210 Weaverland Valley Road, East Earl with the Retired Bishop C. Kenneth Martin, the Reverend Leon Hurst, and the Reverend Brian Martin officiating. Private interment will be in the Weaverland Mennonite Cemetery.
