E. Ruth  Weaver (Hurst)
E. Ruth Weaver, 87, of Fivepointville, went to be with the Lord on Saturday Sept. 24, 2016, at her residence. She was the loving wife of C. Irvin Weaver, with whom she shared over 64 years of marriage.
Born in Elverson, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Hettie Ann (Weaver) Hurst.
She was a member of Martindale Mennonite Church, Lancaster Conference and worked as a homemaker and co-founder of Weaver’s Store Inc., Fivepointville. In her spare time she enjoyed entertaining her family and friends, traveling, and flower tending.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by seven children: Janet Sensenig, wife of Lowell, Mohnton, PA, Melvin H Weaver, husband of Jeanette, Reinholds, PA, Irvin Weaver, Jr., husband of Karen, Denver, PA, Ruthann Wile, wife of the late Dan Wile, Denver, PA, W. Ray Weaver, husband of Marilyn, Reading, PA, Doris Wile, wife of Glenn, Cassville, NY, Nelson Weaver, husband of Melanie, Denver, PA, a son-in-law, Greg Law, Schwenksville, PA; a brother, Louis Hurst, Ephrata, PA, and a sister, Mary Jane Stauffer, wife of Leon, East Earl, PA.; 32 grandchildren and 57 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Betty Law; seven brothers: Weaver, Earl, Clarence, James, John, Paul, and Edwin Hurst; and a sister, Betty Newswanger.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday September 29th at 10 AM at Martindale Mennonite Church, 171 Hurst Rd, Ephrata with Eugene Weaver officiating. Interment will be held in the adjoining cemetery. Viewing will be held on Wednesday September 28th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM and on Thursday 9-10 AM at the church.
