Obituary for Gilbert L. Ericson Jr.

Gilbert L. Ericson, Jr., (Gil) of Elverson (formerly of Columbia, MD) died Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Zerbe Retirement Community. He was 68 years old.

Born in Detroit, MI, he was the son of the late Gilbert L., Sr. and Pearl (Engelsman) Ericson. Gil was married 29 years to Carolyn F. (Bachelder) Ericson.

Gil worked for many years as a Coatings Chemist for several paint manufacturing companies. He attended Hopewell Christian Fellowship and enjoyed motorcycling, woodworking, building model railroads, reading, golfing, and fishing. He always wanted to own a boat, too.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Rachel Ericson, married to IJsbrand Carmiggelt of Amsterdam, NL, and Jennifer Morris, married to Gavin Morris of Northampton, MA; a step-son, Michael Siriani, married to Alexis Siriani of Elverson; four grandchildren, Gavin Siriani, Faye Carmiggelt, Charlotte Siriani, and Emmett Morris; and a brother, Eric, married to Treena Ericson of Royal Oak, MI. Preceding him in death is his sister, Peggy Togal.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 19 at 11:30 am at Hopewell Christian Fellowship, 2286 Hopewell Road, Elverson, PA 19520 with Pastors Mark Kraybill and David Stancil officiating. The family will receive friends at the Church from 10:30 – 11:30 am.
