DICK AND MARYHESS

Growing up in Honduras, the missionary circle was always with close families that James and Rhoda were part of. Realized how special their calling was as they entered areas that had historically had no evangelical influence. Tough, but faithfully they served. Mary and I were treated by James so generously when we went down to La Ceiba at such young premature age soon after we had married. It felt so good to have people like my parents give us the hospitality the way they did. Also was very memorable to serve with James here in the Miami area to help with the new churches that he nurtured in the area that still exist today. The picture I still have in my mind today of James, is him in our Honduran hammock in the back porch of our house here in Homestead in their last visits here. I'll treasure the dialogues the we had in recent years and the opportunity to glean the wisdom that he openly shared.
