Clayton M.  Leaman
Clayton M. Leaman, 81, of East Earl, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 1, 2016 at Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital.
Born in Fetterville, he was the son of Clayton D. and Esther (Martin) Leaman. His wife, Lorraine W. (Martin) Leaman, died Nov. 12, 2007.
Clayton worked for 44 years at the Narvon Clay Mine, retiring in 1995 as Quarry Supervisor.
He was a member of Bridgeville Evangelical Congregational Church and he enjoyed yard work and the Phillies.
Surviving are four children, Jean, married to David Chambers of East Earl, Dawn, married to Ronald Fox of Savona, NY, Gwendolyn, married to David Horst of East Earl, and Daryl, married to Linda (Skowood) Leaman of Narvon; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; 2 sisters, Evelyn Bare of New Holland, and Dorothy, married to Horace Wanner of New Holland; and 2 brothers, Mark, married to Brenda Leaman of East Earl, and Paul Leaman of Terre Hill.
Preceding him in death are three brothers, Luke, Roy, and Elmer Leaman.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 6 at 10 am at Bridgeville E.C. Church, 5971 Division Hwy., Narvon, with the Reverend Kirk Wolfe and the Reverend Dan Blank officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. Viewing will be held on Tuesday from 6-8 pm at the Groff-High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main St., New Holland and on Wednesday from 9-10 am at the Church.
