Roy R. "Renny"  Allgyer
Roy “Renny” Allgyer, 57, of New Holland, died unexpectedly Sunday, February 14, 2016 at Lancaster General Hospital.
Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Samuel B. and Leona (Pugh) Allgyer of New Holland. He was engaged to be married to Bernadette Loeffel-Atkins of Gettysburg.
Renny worked for the past 11 years for Beiler Brothers Roofing in New Holland. He was a 1976 graduate of Pequea Valley High School, attended Mt. Airy Evangelical Congregational Church, and was a member of the NRA.
He enjoyed hunting, playing the fiddle and guitar, and belonged to a musical group called the Camptown Shakers who performed music of the 19th Century. He also enjoyed Civil War history & reenacting. He was an active member with Gettysburg Past & Present.

Surviving in addition to his parents and fiancée are two nieces, Heather, married to Tom McEneaney, and Heidi, married to Ryan Kurtz; along with seven great nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death is a brother, Samuel Allgyer, Jr.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 20 at 1 pm at the Groff-High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main St., New Holland with the Reverend Bruce H. Willier officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday at the Funeral Home from Noon – 1 PM. Kindly omit flowers. If desired, memorial donations may be sent to the Sgt.
