My dear friend, I realize that your life is forever changed and the loss you are experiencing, almost unbearable. However, what I realize is you have been given the gift of unconditional love of the heart, mind and soul. True love such as this, can never be taken. I know the love you had and will always have for Debbie as you spoke of her often. In some ways, I feel I knew her as I believe you as was she; shared a small piece of one another within yourselves. When I look at her picture I can see you within her facial expression, the posturing of her mouth, and the slight tilt of her neck. May your fondest memories of days past fill your heart and make you smile. I can just see the two of you as little girls romping around the neighborhood, maybe causing just a little bit of chaos. Not sure how anyone would have told you apart but nonetheless there go the Penot girls. Close your eyes and go back to that time...riding bikes, eating ice cream, dancing, fishing, singing, spatting with one another, having your own babies and simply being sisters....go go go! She knew my sweet friend, she knew what you were to her forever and always! And it's my belief that she is at peace and safe and experiencing a profound life that is somewhat difficult to fathom. I pray that she is reunited with all of those that have gone before her and they are all smiling. They are proud of you and wish the pain was not so difficult. They are waiting until you meet again. I can't imagine the void you are feeling but know that you are strong and will spend each and every day going forward knowing that a piece of you remains with her and she you. Love to all...
