Thomas R. Martin, 76, of Cochranville, died Tuesday, November 20, 2018 following a lengthy illness.
He was married 55 years to Mary Ann Henly Martin. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Joseph W. and Isabelle Mae Richwine Martin.
Thomas was employed as a design specialist for 37 years at DuPont. During his career there he designed the initial plastic bottle for Pepsi. He was a graduate of the Spring Garden Institute in Philadelphia.
He was a member of the Howell Lodge # 405 F.&A.M. in Honey Brook. An avid hunter and fisherman, he was a member of the Atglen Sportsman’s Club and the Caernarvon Camp in Potter County. He thoroughly enjoyed hunting trips out west and influenced his whole family to be outdoors people.
Surviving besides his wife is a daughter, Suzanne Martin of East Earl; a son, Joseph W. Martin of East Earl; and two grandchildren, Sara Quigley Cox and Jonathan Martin.
Services and interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
