Obituary for Norman W. Wenger

Norman W. Wenger, 85, a resident of Fairmount Homes, was called home by his Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 10, 2018.
He was married 65 years to Anna M. Sauder Wenger. Born in Rothsville, he was the son of the late Michael N. and Jennie Steffy Wenger.
Norman was self-employed in the trucking industry for many years. Following that he was a realtor for Kingsway Realty and Hostetter Realty. In his retirement he enjoyed working part-time at the former Blue Ball Bank.
He was a member of the Weaverland Anabaptist Faith Community. Norman served in 1-W Service at the Farnhurst State Hospital in Delaware. He enjoyed golfing, playing Black Rook, traveling and spending time with his family.
Surviving besides his wife are three sons, Gerald L. husband of Dolli Wenger of New Holland, Clifford R. husband of Carol Wenger of New Holland, and Scott N. husband of Charisse Wenger of Ephrata; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Michael W. husband of Mary Wenger of Ephrata, and Paul W. husband of Elsie Wenger of Akron; six sisters, Kathryn Ebersole of Ephrata, Bertha wife of Ben Brubaker of Manheim, Mary wife of John Becker of Akron, Edna Cramer of Lititz, Anna Reimer of Lancaster, and Marti wife of Robert Harnish of Manheim. He was preceded in death by a son, Gregory L. Wenger, and by sisters, Grace Ebersole, Laura Hoover, Mabel Saylor and Esther Wenger.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, November 15, at 10:30 A.M. at the Weaverland Anabaptist Faith Community, 210 Weaverland Valley Road, East Earl, PA with Pastors Brian Martin and Ken Martin officiating. Friends may visit with the family at Weaverland on Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. and on Thursday morning from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family in the adjoining church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Norman’s memory may be made to the Fairmount Homes Benevolent Fund, 333 Wheat Ridge Drive, Ephrata, PA 17522.
