James E. Weidner, 81, of New Holland, formerly of Chester County, died Friday, October 26, 2018 at Garden Spot Village after a lengthy illness.
Born in Phoenixville, he was a son of the late R. Stanley and Lola Mae (Kern) Weidner. He was married 61 years on June 6 to Joan R. (Mowery) Weidner.
James retired in 1991 from Philadelphia Electric Company.
He was a member of Highpoint Baptist Chapel in Geigertown.
Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter, Deborah S. Weiss Kolmus, married to Russell J. Kolmus of Elverson; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a brother, David, married to Ruth Weidner of East Earl; and a sister, Mary Ellen, married to David Wurm of Fairbanks, AK.
Preceding him in death is a son, J. Todd Weidner; and a brother, Joseph Weidner.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, Nov. 2 at 2 pm at Garden Spot Village Chapel, 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland.
