Henry W. Kretlow, 88, formerly of New Holland, died Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at the Manor at Luther Acres. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie M. (Oester) Kretlow in 2017.

Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Henry C. and Erna (Gewisson) Kretlow.

He owned and operated the former Western Auto Store in New Holland, the New Holland Paint Store, and the New Holland Cut-Rate.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, New Holland where he formerly served on the Building and Cemetery Committees and had volunteered at Garden Spot Village and Ephrata Community Hospital.

Surviving are two children: Debra L. married to John Reichard, New Holland and William H. married to Theresa (Smith) Kretlow, New Holland; two grandsons: Matthew Kretlow and Andrew married to Andrea Kretlow; and two great-grandchildren: Lyla and Hadley Kretlow.

He was preceded in death by a brother Richard Kretlow.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers. If desired, memorials may be sent to the Salvation Army, 131 S.
