Mary N. Reiff, 95, of 535 Musser School Rd., Leola, formerly of 692 Overly’s Grove Rd., New Holland, departed this life on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at the home of her daughter.
She was born June 3, 1923 in Martindale to the late Menno N. and Mary W. Zimmerman. Mary married Aaron N. Reiff on December 28, 1944. He preceded her in death on March 26, 2001.
She was a homemaker and a member of Pequea Mennonite Church.
Mary is survived by six sons: John (Elsie) Reiff, Ephrata, Paul (Miriam) Reiff, Mohnton, Raymond Reiff, New Holland, Harvey (Luella) Reiff, Aurora, NY, Mervin (April) Reiff, New Holland, Lester (Cindy) Reiff, New Holland, four daughters: Martha (Melvin) Hoover, with whom she resided, Anna Mae (Allan) Huber, New Holland, Ruth Ann (David) Zimmerman, East Earl, Esther (Glenn) Martin, New Holland, 35 grandchildren, 103 great-grandchildren, and a sister Ruth N. Martin, Terre Hill.
She was preceded in death by sons Melvin and Alvin, a grandson Matthew Reiff, a great-granddaughter, and 10 siblings: Fannie, Edwin, David, Harvey, Elam, Anna Fox, Rebecca, Noah, Katie Leid, and Emma Horning.
Her funeral will be held on Monday, October 1, 2018 at 9 a.m. at Fairmount Home Farm Crest Chapel with further services at 9:30 a.m. at Groffdale Mennonite church with Bishop Curvin Zimmerman, Loren Nolt, Marlin Zimmerman, and Paul Newswanger officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. A viewing will be held at Fairmount Home Farm Crest Chapel on Sunday from 5 – 8 p.m. Kindly omit flowers. The Groff-High Funeral Home, new Holland is in charge of arrangements.
