When my dad met Fern, he would always ask me if it was okay with me if the dated and asked me if it was okay to ask her to marry him.  He thought he should wait because her daughter Cindy was having a difficult pregancy.  I said that has nothing to do with you if you want to ask her and get married do it.  Which of coarse he did and loved it till the day he passed away.  She always treated us like we were hers but she walked into a very large family.  My dad had four married children and 13 grandchildren.  The house would get really full for christmas. My dad lost his daughter and son in law before his death and a great granchild.  Since then his son Jack has also passed. Since then a granddaughter who just passed this year.  However he still has a son Tim and a daughter Jolenne19 grandchildren,31  great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.  His house would be full to the top, but they always loved when we were there together. I always tried to visit Fern or call her and usually and annual Christmas dinner at shady maple with my family.  She will be missed by all of us on this side of the family.  We love her like she was our mother, just didn't get to spend  the time we should have.
