Joseph Andrew Meyers III, 86, quietly passed into Glory on September 17th, 2018. Born in Baltimore, MD Joe was the son of the late Joseph A Meyers Jr and Haddie K Neily Meyers. Before moving to Garden Spot Village, New Holland, PA Joe resided in Newtown Square, PA for 30 years. He was the loving husband of the late Lois White Meyers of Yeadon, PA (2008). They were married for 48 years.

He was loved by many due to his kind heart, graciousness and sense of humor. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan a wonderful husband, father, and man of God.

Joseph graduated from Boys Latin School in Baltimore, MD., Graduated from Tulane University (BS Chemistry 1953) and University of Maryland (M.S. Organic Chemistry 1958). He had a successful career at Atlantic Richfield (ARCO) as a Supervising Research Chemist, retiring in 1987 with 17 patents.

He proudly served his country as an Army Officer in Korea as a 2nd Lt. Chemical Corps, and was discharged as a Captain CMLC, USAR.

He served as an Elder at Trinity Chapel Christian Reformed Church, Elected Elder at Immanuel Presbyterian Church (PCA) and served on the Board Of Trustees of the Delaware County Christian School for nine years. He and his wife Lois were avid political memorabilia collectors and enjoyed traveling with friends.

He was most recently a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Lancaster, PA.

Surviving are his two daughters, Andrea Morrell, wife of Kevin Morrell of King of Prussia, PA, Gail Thompson, wife of Dr. Andrew M Thompson, of West Chester, PA and six grandchildren: Riana Morrell Jacobson, wife of Jeff Jacobson, Blaise Joseph Morrell, and Neily Gail, Paige Andrea, Alivia Knetl, and Alexandra Hastings Thomspon, and two great grandchildren Violet and Iris Jacobson.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 11:30 A.M. at Garden Spot Village, 433 S. Kinzer Avenue, New Holland, PA with the Rev. Dr. Timothy Witmer and the Rev. Keith Irvine officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Benevolent Fund, Garden Spot Village.
