Denise M. Starks, 53, of New Holland, died unexpectedly on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at her home.
Born in Abington, PA, she was a daughter of the late Ed and Carol (Tasch) Jorgenson. She was married 13 years on Feb. 20 to Colin Starks.
She worked as peer support for Recovery Insight in Lancaster.
She was a member of Petra Christian Fellowship and volunteered as a mentor with Homes of Hope. She was a hard working mother and enjoyed sunrises at the Beach.
Surviving in addition to her husband are 3 sons, Frederick Alldred of East Petersburg, Matt Smith of Lititz, and Kevin Starks at home; a granddaughter, Madison Alldred; 2 sisters, Caroline Parr of North Carolina, and Barbara (Scott) Barnhart of Colorado Springs, CO; and a brother, Jason Jacker of New Holland.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 10 at 11 am at the Groff-High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main St., New Holland with viewing from 10-11 am. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. To send the family online condolences visit us at www.groffeckenroth.com.
