Obituary for David Weaver Martin

David W Martin, age 94, of 282 Bridgeville Rd Narvon Pa passed away peacefully at his home, on April 14th, after a short period of declining health.
He was born January 11, 1924 in Caernarvon Township. He resided all his life in Lancaster County. David was the son of the late Henry N and Mary (Weaver) Martin.
David was a member of the Churchtown Mennonite Church, (Groffdale Conference).
He enjoyed his vocation as a farmer and carpenter and in his retirement often lent a hand in numerous projects that his children were engaged in.
Surviving is his wife, Lizzie R. Martin with whom he celebrated 70 years of marriage December 2, 2017.
Also surviving are his 13 children; Anna R married to Earl Brubaker, Thorp WI. Martha R married to Henry Oberholtzer, Mifflinburg, PA. Alvin R married to Sylvia (Martin) Martin, Athens WI. David R, married to Edna (Zimmerman) Martin East Earl, PA. Amos R married to Donna (Devine) Martin, Honey Brook, PA. Leroy R married to Lucy (Newswanger) Martin Latham MO. Lizzie R Martin Narvon PA. Lena R married to Eli Newswanger Narvon PA. Luke R married to Alice (Stauffer) Martin East Earl PA. Levi R married to Judith (Zook) Martin Tazewell, VA. Mabel R married to Bob Kuhr Clare, MI. Titus R married to Sandra L (Martin) Martin Narvon PA. Mark R married to Martha N (Zeiset) Martin Narvon PA.
He is also survived by 50 Grandchildren, 17 step Grandchildren, 46 Great Grandchildren and 52 Step Great Grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are 4 sisters; Martha Brubaker Ringler, Katie W Martin, Mary Wenger and Lizzie W Martin; 5 brothers; Henry W Martin, Ivan W Martin, Amos W Martin, Weaver W Martin and Levi W Martin.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 18, at 8:45 A.M. at the late home with further services at 9:30 A.M. at the Churchtown Mennonite Church with Bishop Elam Zimmerman officiating. Internment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. Viewing will be held at the late home on Tuesday from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 P.M. Kindly omit flowers.
