Condolence From: chuck eckenroth
Condolence: Dear Janet and Ron, I would like to express my condolences to you both on the passing of your dad. On a Sat. a week or two before your mom and dad left GSV they were sitting in the lobby near the elevator. I was their to play cards with two of the residents (to include Joan their next door neighbor). I saw them sitting there, your mom was sleeping but your dad was taking in the sights. I went over to him and after a brief introduction, he remembered me. We talked for maybe five minutes. I was recalling with him about the EUB church picnics, settling up the troughs with water and ice for the sodas, putting the canvas over the band shell and listening to the Ringold Band. We also talked about Mr. Palsgrove, who also worked at the base and Mr. Hoffard who was on one of the flight crews. Good memories of your dad, and in my eyes a great man.
