Obituary for Audrey Ann Rosena (Arbo) Hanlon
Audrey A. Hanlon, 82, of Garden Spot Village, died Wednesday, March 21, 2018.
Born in Wilmington MA on April 1, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Judson and Jennie (Spinney) Arbo. She married David Ernest Hanlon of Woburn MA on April 2, 1955.
Audrey was the dedicated wife to an Air Force pilot, a homemaker and an accomplished writer. Dave and Audrey were longtime members and supporters of Hopewell Mennonite Church of Birdsboro, PA. Audrey cultivated many spiritual friendships.
Surviving are her older brother Norm Arbo, her brother Roger and sister-in-law, Bev, and her youngest sister Joyce Corbitt. Also surviving are her sisters-in-law, Nancy and husband John, Judy and husband Jack, and Susie and husband Sully. Audrey had 4 children, Peter David Hanlon, PhD (Ret. Military), married to Kathryn (Anderson) of West Point NY, Pamela Jen Hanlon, RN, JD, Cathleen Alma Hanlon, VMD, PhD, and Mark William Hanlon VMD, married to Diane S. (Damiano) of Schwenksville PA.
She has 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren as well as nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Preceding her in death are her nephew (Eddie Allen), her husband (David), and her sister (Evelyn Allen).
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 25 at 3:00 at Garden Spot Village (GSV) Chapel with the Chaplain Chet Yoder officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 AM on Tue Mar 27 at the Indiantown Gap cemetery. Rather than flowers, donations are welcome for the Benevolent Fund at GSV.
