Oh, my dear Clair, Michelle, Mike, Joscelynn, grandbabies & families... I don't know where to start, other then, you all have our deepest sympathy!! Over the 22 years that Carol cleaned for me, we had become extremely good friends...we would talk every two weeks and sometimes, in between , telling each other things that we would not tell anyone else, knowing that we would keep it between us. When she was down, and upset about something, I would try and pick her up and visa versa, although, she was much better at it then I was. quoting scripture and praying.....I have never known a Prayer Warrior like Carol... a true gift of God !!We would also show recent pictures of each other's grandchildren, she sure loved her Grandbabies !! When she would stop sometimes for pizza, she always brought two pieces and we would sit at our kitchen table, eat and tell each other what happened in our lives since we last saw each other !! She met members of our family and friends, even prayed with my friends she never knew...what a servant of God !! I remember so well when Michelle and Michael would come along and go swimming in our pool while their Mother was cleaning. I remember when her Mother passed in Florida... I remember HOW MUCH SHE WAS THERE FOR HER SISTER, SANDY, AND ESPECIALLY HER BROTHER, JEFF !! When I saw Carol for the last time, which was 4 days before her passing (and I will never forget that day because it was my Daughter's birthday) we sat down in our family room and talked for at least 20 minutes before she started cleaning, which was nothing unusual for us to do... we had a nice chat... she was telling me and excited about the 3 day trip they were going to take for her Mother-in-Laws birthday. She was also looking forward to the nice weather, so she and Clair could go riding motorcycle...she was looking forward to so many things, although...there is one thing she said that I can't forget is "Sometimes I wish the Heavens would open up and our Lord would come down" ! Well, my dear friend, He did, and now you are at Peace !! I will miss you, but I thank you for being a loyal friend and will treasure the wonderful memories !!
Love & God Bless
Nick & Nancy
One more thing I need to say is "I wish there would be more Carol D. Martins" !!
