Carol D. Martin, 53, of Denver, passed away unexpectedly at her home of natural causes on Monday, March 5, 2018. Her husband of 34 years, Clair M. Martin, survives.
Born in Ephrata, she was the daughter of the late Elam G. and Beatrice A. (Fox) Brubaker.
Carol operated her own home cleaning service.
She was a long-time member of Hinkletown Mennonite Church where she was a Sunday School teacher and helped with the Grief Share support group for many years. She was known as a prayer warrior and an encourager, with a heart for people. Additionally, she was involved with release time at Brecknock School.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children: Mike married to Joscelynn Martin, Ephrata and Michelle Martin, Golden, CO; three grandchildren who she loved spending time with on a regular basis: Easton, Ricky and Ali; a brother Jay N. married to Cindy (Nolt) Brubaker, Kenly, NC and brother-in-law Ed Weaver, Denver.
She was preceded in death by a sister Sandy Weaver and a brother Jeff Brubaker.
Her funeral will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Hinkletown Mennonite Church, 2031 Division Hwy., Ephrata with Pastors Glenn Sauder, Gerald Fox and Jerold Martin officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. A viewing will be held at the church on Thursday from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. and on Friday from 9 – 10 a.m. The Eckenroth Home for Funerals, Terre Hill is in charge of arrangements.
