Marvin E. Zimmerman, 73, of 1075 Weaverland Rd., East Earl, died unexpectedly of natural causes on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at his home. His wife of 52 years, Grace S. (Zimmerman) Zimmerman, survives.

Born in East Earl, he was the son of the late Martin S. and Lizzie (Eberly) Zimmerman.

Marvin was a farmer and a member of Weaverland Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children: Rosene married to Wilmer Nolt, Peach Bottom; Thelma married to Ronald Wenger, Lititz; Marvin Lee married to Delphine (Reiff) Zimmerman, East Earl; Robert Zimmerman, at home; 15 grandchildren and a sister Esther married to John Jacob Rutt, Ephrata.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Alinda Zimmerman.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 9 a.m. at the Martindale Mennonite Reception Center with further services at 9:30 a.m. at Weaverland Mennonite Church with Bishop Amos G. Martin, Amos K. Martin, David Martin and Paul Hurst, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. A viewing will be held at the Martindale Mennonite Reception Center on Monday from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. Kindly omit flowers. The Groff-High Funeral Home, New Holland is in charge of arrangements.
