Ella S.  Nolt (Shirk)
Ella S. Nolt, 88, of Ephrata, died Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Fairmount Homes.
Born in Bowmansville, she was a daughter of the late Wayne and Lizzie (Burkhart) Shirk. Her husband, Elmer N. Nolt, died Sept. 15, 2015.
Ella graduated from the Preston School of Nursing in Philadelphia and worked for many years at the Ephrata Hospital.
She was a member of Pine Grove Church and enjoyed her grandchildren, sewing and gardening.
Surviving are two sons, John, married to Anne (Good) Nolt of Reinholds, and Arden, married to Teresa (Gehman) Nolt of East Earl; four grandchildren, Clifton married to Jessica, Katlin, Jason, and Adam married to Brittany; a great granddaughter, Heidi; and a sister, Mabel, married to Willis Weaver of Denver.
Preceding her in death is a son, Curtis Nolt; a grandson, Andrew; two sisters, Esther Keller and Verna Weyant; and two brothers, Leon and Raymond Shirk.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 3 at 11 am at Pine Grove Church, 1194 Reading Road, Bowmansville with Pastor Jonathan Yoder officiating. Interment will be in the Bowmansville Mennonite Cemetery. Viewing will be held at Pine Grove on Saturday from 10-11 am.
