Naomi E. Weaver, 101, passed away peacefully February 21, 2018 at Garden Spot Village, New Holland, PA. Her husband of 70 years, H. Lester Weaver, passed away in 2011. They lived in Blue Ball for 50 years.
Naomi (Wenger) Weaver was born in Dayton, VA. She was a daughter of George W. and Vena (Rhodes) Wenger.
Naomi graduated from Dayton High School in 1936 and later managed the Blue Ball, (PA) Elementary School Cafeteria for 19 years. She was active in Church, Blue Ball Fire Co. events, along with The Order of Eastern Star. Her garden occupied much of her time including her craft activities. She will be remembered for making over 500 cornhusk dolls which were sold at Church Bazaars.
Naomi was a member of St. John’s Center UCC since 1941 and an associate member of The Community Church at Garden Spot Village.
Surviving are two sons, George W., married to Nancy (Widders) Weaver, and Henry L., husband of the late Linda (Weaver) Weaver; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death is a sister, Edith Sensenig; and a brother, Martin Wenger.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 27 at 10 am at Garden Spot Village Garden Towers, 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland. Interment will be in the Weaverland Mennonite Cemetery.
