Dorothy V.  Troop
Dorothy V. Troop, 93, formerly of Churchtown, died Friday, January 26, 2018 at Garden Spot Village. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray S. Troop, in 2016.

Born in Churchtown, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Laura (Yohn) Clark.

Dorothy was employed at Churchtown Manufacturing for over 20 years in the finishing department.

She was the oldest and longest member of Churchtown United Methodist Church. Dot enjoyed auctions, shopping with her daughter, and chocolate and was known for her contagious giggle.

Surviving is a daughter, Donna M. married to Carl “Butch” Styer, Narvon and two daughters-in-law, Jackie (McCoy) Troop, New Holland and Linda (Seifert) Troop, New Holland; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Gerald R. and Gene I. Troop, and eight siblings: Mary Weller, Eva Means, Sara Leisey, Israel Clark, Earl Clark, David Clark John Clark, and George Clark.

The family would like to express their deepest thanks for the kind and loving care Dot received in the Fallcrest Unit at Garden Spot Village.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Garden Spot Village Chapel, 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland with Chaplain Chet Yoder officiating. Interment will be in the United Methodist Cemetery of Churchtown. A viewing will be held at the chapel on Thursday from 1 – 2 p.m. Kindly omit flowers. If desired, memorials may be sent to Churchtown United Methodist Church, 2170 Main St., Narvon, PA 17555. The Groff-High Funeral Home, New Holland is in charge of arrangements.
