Obituary for Reuben B. Weaver

Reuben B. Weaver, 95, of 137 Laurel Rd., East Earl, died Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at his home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie M. (Shirk) Weaver in 2007.

Born in Lancaster County, he was the son of the late Noah and Onea (Bare) Weaver.

Reuben was a self-employed carpenter during his working years and a member of Bowmansville Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference.

Surviving are three children: Benjamin married to Ruth Ann Weaver, East Earl, Esther married to Ervin Martin, East Earl, Enos married to Dorothy Weaver, Lewistown; a son-in-law, Ivan Brubaker, East Earl; 23 grandchildren; 80 great grandchildren; and three siblings: Jason Weaver, Fleetwood, Eugene Weaver, Orrstown, Selestia Weaver, Elkton, KY.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Brubaker; his twin brother Rufus, and 11 other siblings: Harvey, Raymond, Milton, Myrtle Weaver, Lydia Heil, Mabel Hoover, Alma Sauder, Nancy Shirk, Esther Brubaker, and Margaret Weaver.

His funeral will be held on Monday, January 15, 2018 at 9 a.m. at his late home with further services at 9:30 a.m. at Bowmansville Mennonite Church with Bishop Elam Zimmerman officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. A viewing will be held at the late home on Sunday from 2- 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. Kindly omit flowers. The Eckenroth Home for Funerals, Terre Hill is in charge of arrangements.
