Esther M.  Martin (Sensenig)
Esther M. Martin, 80, of New Holland, formerly of Honey Brook, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, January 1, 2018 at Garden Spot Village.
Born in Ephrata, she was a daughter of the late Aaron and Emma (Martin) Sensenig. She was married 60 years on Feb. 23 to Wilmer E. Martin.
Esther was a 1955 Ephrata High School graduate and a member of Weaverland Mennonite Church where she served many years as a Sunday school teacher. She was also a member of the Ladies Sunday School class and the Church Sewing Circle. She also enjoyed presenting monologues, reading, and doing crossword puzzles.
Surviving in addition to her husband are four children, Nelson R., married to Carol (Leaman) Martin of Honey Brook, Michael J., married to Cheryl (Gingrich) Martin of New Holland, Lyndell J., married to Donald R. Good of Ephrata, and Steven D. and Anna Mary (Esh) Martin of New Holland; 12 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; a brother, Earl M., married to Dorothy (Burkholder) Sensenig of Akron; and a sister, Anna Mary, wife of the late Christian Sauder of Landis Homes.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 5 at 11 am at Weaverland Anabaptist Faith Community, 210 Weaverland Valley Rd, East Earl with Brian Martin, Nevin Hurst, and C. Kenneth Martin officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. Viewing will be held on Thursday, Jan. 4 from 6-8 pm at Garden Spot Village Chapel, 433 S. Kinzer Ave, New Holland, and on Friday from 10-11 am at Weaverland. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Garden Spot Village Benevolent Fund, 433 S.
