Condolence From: Dawn Crowther
Condolence: Dear Brouses, I am thinking of your families today; no doubt this is a very difficult weekend for all of you. While I did not know Joshua, I am so sorry for Barb and Joe’s loss. Your dad (mom, and whole family) was an integral part of my ‘growing up’ years and beyond. It was this time 17 years ago that dad & I drove down to Texas with Dick & Kitty. I was in my little car and they had their RV --- which was our hotel at night. :-) They were coming down to work at a Methodist College and I was coming down to start my next chapter in life…working with Mercy Ships at their Texas office. That was an amazing road trip –so many laughs! I will always cherish the encouragement that they offered to me at me at each stage of my life. Your dad’s artistic skills were, and are, so endearing. I have in my house some of the items that he made; they are cherished items!! Each time I am in St. Paul’s, I can’t help but to hear him singing. His voice, which I loved, will always be an integral part of my childhood church & worshiping memories. For a long time your dad has been a faithful, monthly supporter. His financial and prayer support was very special and so dear to me. I know that he gave out of love. Speaking of love, his huge hugs were great!! I can only imagine the hugs that he gave and received when he passed and was reunited with Kitty & Rev Stinger! May the Lord continue to comfort all of you as you grieve the loss of Joshua and Dick. Today, may you celebrate the life of your dad and all the love that he give to you, his friends, and to Jesus. Dick will be missed here, but what a wonderful assurance to know that you will see him again! Love, Dawn Crowther
