Obituary for Mabel M. Petersheim (Weaver)

Mabel M. (Weaver) Petersheim, 94, formerly of Blue Ball, died Tuesday, December 26, 2017, while residing at Fairmount Homes. She now lives forever with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
She was preceded to glory by her husband Stephen M. Petersheim on July 29, 2003 and her son, Steven Kenneth (Kenny) Petersheim on July 1, 2001.
Born in Weaverland Valley, Lancaster County, she was the daughter of the late William G. and Anna Martin Weaver.
She was a member of the Conestoga Mennonite Church, Morgantown. She did volunteer work for the Ladies Auxiliary of the Blue Ball Fire Hall, Friendship Community and Tel Hai Retirement Community. In her earlier days she worked as a sewer for Milberg Factory, New Holland, and as an egg candler for Victor Weaver, Inc. New Holland.
She enjoyed working outdoors, being at the cabin at Seven Acres, fishing, and helping others.
She is survived by two daughters, Wilma L. wife of David M. Smoker of Fivepointville, and Brenda M. wife of David L. Musselman of New Holland; five grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren who will miss their “Pretzel” grandmother. Also surviving are two sisters, Pauline M. (Weaver) Johnston of East Earl, and Anna Ruth (Weaver) wife of Jack Spotts of Womelsdorf. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Harlan M. Weaver, Raymond M. Weaver, and Marvin M. Weaver.
Friends may visit her in Glory if they have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 3:00 P.M. at the Conestoga Mennonite Church, 2779 Main Street, Morgantown, PA with her grandson, Pastor Jason Smoker and Pastor Robert Petersheim officiating. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. Friends may call at the Wheat Ridge Chapel at Fairmount Homes, 333 Wheat Ridge Drive, Ephrata, on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. and at the church on Wednesday from 2:00 P.M. until the time of the service. If desired, contributions in Mabel’s name may be made to Friendship Community, 1149 East Oregon Road, Lititz, PA 17543-8366.
