Dale Eugene Leathead, age 90, went to be with his Lord on Monday, December 4, 2017, at his home at Garden Spot Village, New Holland, Pennsylvania, after a 4 ½-year battle with lung cancer. He was born on June 13, 1927, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Charles Francis & Florence Edna (Brown) Leathead. He loved to play the piano, and lived a long full life of service for his Savior. After graduating from Grandville High School in 1945, he went on to graduate from Bob Jones University in 1948 in Greenville, South Carolina. In 1950, he sailed to India, where he served as a missionary until 1968. He married Jeanette May Stoelting on March 6, 1953, in Darjeeling, India. Dale later served as Business Manager for the Regions Beyond Missionary Union in Philadelphia, until retirement. He is survived by his faithful wife of 64 years, Jeanette; brother Wendell (Grace) Leathead; sister Carol Dehamer; daughter Norma (Trevor Douglas); son Gordon (Yvonne); son Stuart; daughter Cynthia (Andy Kerstetter); many nieces and nephews; 7 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. Dale was preceded in death by his son Douglas in 1995. There will be a private family interment service. A time of visitation will be held at 10 AM followed by a memorial service at 11 AM on Friday December 15th at Garden Spot Village, 433 South Kinzer Avenue, New Holland, Pennsylvania. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Dale’s name to Philippines BTC Development Project c/o WorldTeam 1431 Stuckert Rd. Warrington, Pa 18976
