Karl Heinz Hruby, 87, went home to his Heavenly Father peacefully on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Medical Center, Reading.
Karl was born in Czechoslovakia, a son of the late Karl and Gabrielle (Schaeffer) Hruby, and moved to Germany after WWII. He later immigrated to the United States and was a longtime resident of Norristown. Upon Retirement, he moved his family to Terre Hill.
Karl retired from Ford Motor Company in 1997 and remained active as a caregiver to mentally challenged individuals at Lynch Homes until 2011.
Karl was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Anne Hruby and son Paul Osmond Hruby. Karl was a loving grandfather and devoted servant of Christ Jesus.
He is survived by his sister, Uli Schwinghammer of Haar, Germany; a son Carl Hruby of Cherry Hill, NJ; a daughter, Karin, wife of Buddy Rossi of Terre Hill; and four grandchildren, Ralph, Benjamin, Lauren, and Micah all of Terre Hill.
He will be remembered for his smile even in the midst of illness, for his sense of humor, and for loving his family well.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Nov. 27 at 11 am at the Eckenroth Home for Funerals, 209 E. Main St., Terre Hill with viewing from 10-11 am. Interment will be in the Terre Hill Cemetery. To send the family online condolences visit us at www.groffeckenroth.com.
