Obituary for Charlotte A. Weaver

Charlotte A. Weaver, 90, formerly of Terre Hill, died Friday, November 3, 2017 at Fairmount Homes. She was preceded in death by her husband, B. Willard Weaver, in 1986.

Born in Salisbury Twp., she was the daughter of the late Harland and Edna (Clark) Simmons.

Charlotte worked for 40 years as a supervisor in the sample department for the former Walter Moyer and Gerber companies. Following her retirement, she worked part-time in the kitchen at Weaver’s Market.

She was a member of the Trinity E. C. Church, Terre Hill where she sang in the choir. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Lititz Springs Chapter #499. She had served as a Republican Committeeperson for the Martindale District and on the Terre Hill Election Board. Her hobbies included doing crafts such as ceramics and latch-hook.

Surviving is a son, B. Ronald married to Brenda (Shirk) Weaver, Terre Hill; two grandchildren: Troy married to Elizabeth Weaver and Jill and partner Jamie Weaver; two great-grandchildren: Hunter A. and Morgan E. Weaver; and a brother Ted R. Simmons, FL.

She was preceded in death by four siblings: Ruth Simmons, Harry Simmons, Stanley Simmons, and Eleanor Sprecher.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Eckenroth Home for Funerals, 209 E. Main St., Terre Hill at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Terre Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held at Eckenroth’s on Tuesday from 6 – 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9 – 10 a.m. An Eastern Star service will take place on Tuesday at 8 p.m. Kindly omit flowers.
