The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Svea Hoover can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: Dear Ray & Family,
I was sad to hear that Svea/your Mother has passed away. I know that we all did not get together often, but she has always held a special place in my heart. Svea was a beautiful person both inside and out. She had a contagious smile and laughter! I pray that all those special memories that you have will bring her special smile to you too. Thinking of you all.

Condolence: What a wonderful lady! Such a blessing to her family, friends, and community. She truly listened to teachers and coaches and cared for all children in the PV district. Her best gift: three marvelous children of her own, all worthy of her legacy.

Condolence: I was saddened to hear of Svea's passing. I served with her for all her years on the Pequea Valley School Board. She was a wonderful woman, appreciated by everyone. She had a caring spirit which was evident in how she conducted herself. As a board we often got bogged down in our discussions. She always had a way of bringing us back to what's important. She became known for a question she would ask when the board seemed to get side-tracked, "What about the students. How does this effect them?" My sympathy & prayers go out to the entire family.

Condolence: To Raymond and family,
My deepest condolences to you all. Svea was the last of my cousins that I know. I have wonderful memories of your wedding and family get together. Even though we did not see each other very often, she always asked about my parents, had a smile on her face, and had a great laugh. I will always remember her laugh! May your memories comfort you during this difficult time.
