Obituary for Doris Elaine Yoder

Doris Elaine Yoder, 72, of 925 Glorry Lane, Narvon, died on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at her home. Her husband of 50 years, William J. Yoder, survives.

Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Leon B. and Adella Ruth (Fisher) Hershey.

Elaine was a seamstress, operating her own custom apron business, Elaine’s Aprons, for many years.

She attended Christian Fellowship Church and was a volunteer for GAiN.

Along with her husband, she was a member of The Royal Sounds, playing the accordion and piano.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters: Jodi Michelle married to Al Ebersol, Forsyth, MO and Kelly Grace Yoder, Narvon; two grandchildren: Austin and Lauren Ebersol and three siblings: Leon Hershey, Jr., Narvon; Velma Pendergrass, OH; Ron Hershey, Lancaster.

She was preceded in death by a brother, John Hershey.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 4, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Christian Fellowship Church, 758 Spruce Rd., New Holland. Interment will be private in Paradise Mennonite Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 10 – 11 a.m. If desired, memorials may be sent to GAiN, 2001 West Plano Parkway, 2200, Plano, TX 75075.
