Frances E. Yelk, 94, of Ephrata, passed away Monday, July 3, 2017 at her daughter’s residence. She was the loving wife of Earl V. Yelk, Sr., whom preceded her in death in 1996.

Born in Bowmansville, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Delilah (Smith) Bush.

Frances worked as a carting machine operator for the Bollman Hat Factory for over 25 years until her retirement in 1985. In her spare time she enjoyed visiting gardens and looking at flowers.

Surviving are three children: Earl V. “Sonny” Yelk, Jr., husband of Anna (Eberly), of Mohnton, Linda A. Texter of Reamstown, and Jeannie M. Wealand, wife of Lynwood, of Ephrata; 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and 8 siblings.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 11 AM at the Eckenroth Home for Funerals, 209 E. Main St., Terre Hill PA 17519 with Pastor Brad Haws officiating. Interment will follow in the Center Union Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Monday from 6-8 PM and Tuesday from 10-11 AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice & Community Care of Mt. Joy, 4075 Old Harrisburg Pike, Mt. Joy, PA 17552.
