Grace E. Watts, nee Snider, 87, of New Holland, PA, entered the Church Triumphant on June 16, 2017.
Grace was born in Parkersburg, WV on December 17, 1929. She was the daughter of Johnny and Mary Mellicent (Sharp) Snider. She grew up in the Methodist church and most recently attended Trinity Lutheran Church in New Holland.
She graduated from University High School, Monongalia County, WV. After High School she worked briefly in a local grocery and then at the phone company in Morgantown, WV. She worked at RCA in Lancaster, PA and later at Throne Lumber Company in New Park, PA. Grace founded her own company, “Orchard Valley Supply,” selling supplies to orchards and vineyards. She often reminisced about all of the friends she made with Orchard Valley Supply through her shows, shop visits and travels.
Grace loved making a happy home and enjoyed cooking, sewing, jelly making and caring for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Grace was married to the late Fred Watts, Jr. of White House, PA. They were married for 57 years. She is survived by three children, Janet C. Nguyen Graupensperger and her husband William, Fred Snider Watts and his wife Arleen, and Alan Dale Watts; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren, who were the light of her life; five brothers; and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 19 at 2:30 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, 221 E. Main St., New Holland with the Rev. Dr. Charles H. Oberkehr officiating. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family at Cedar Grove Presbyterian Cemetery. Viewing will be held at the Church on Monday from 1:30 – 2:30 pm.
