Allen B.  Fisher
Allen B. Fisher, 99, of New Holland, passed away on Monday, June 5, 2017 at Moravian Manor. He was the husband of Shirley (Jackson) Fisher, and was preceded in death by his first wife, M. Elizabeth (Scott) Fisher, in 1977.

Born in Salisbury Township, Allen was a son of the late Daniel K. and Sallie (Blank) Fisher.

Allen was a member of Cedar Grove Presbyterian Church. He was a proud veteran of WWll. Before enlisting in the Army he worked at the Philadelphia Navy Yard and helped to build the battleships USS New Jersey and USS Wisconsin. He was the founder and owner of Fisher’s Welding Service from 1946-1981. Allen was also a life-time member of the Ephrata American Legion.

In addition to his wife, Allen is survived by two children: Lucinda S. Wenger, wife of Paul, of New Holland, and Daniel J. Fisher, husband of Lisa (Kimmel), of New Holland; two step-daughters: Barbara Murray, wife of Bob, of Blaine, TN, and Natalie Funt, wife of Craig, of Pipersville; 3 grandchildren : Adam, husband of Laura (Lewis), Cody, husband of Pamelah (Wilhelm), Tara, wife of Christopher Buch; 5 step-grandchildren: Laura, wife of Ryan Price, Jared Murray, Kirby, Devon, and Madison Funt; 5 great-grandchildren, and 1 step-great-grandchild.

In addition to his parents and his first wife, Allen was preceded in death by his brothers, Sylvester B. Fisher and Emery B. Fisher.

Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by Groff-High Funeral Home, New Holland.
