Fritz von Bergen, age 93, passed away on May 30, 2017 after a brief illness. Fritz was born in Switzerland and immigrated at age 2 with his late parents, Werner and Marie, to NJ. He graduated from Lehigh University as a chemical engineer. He worked for FMC Corporation for 42 years in New York, Geneva, Switzerland and Philadelphia.

Fritz was an active member of The Community Church at Garden Spot. He faithfully served the Gideons International for 35 years. At age 85, he participated in his first missions trip to Honduras.
Fritz enjoyed skiing, gardening, and golfing. He also spent time researching his family tree and was an avid photographer. He was a worldwide traveler. He had fun entertaining his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Fritz is survived by his loving wife, Myra; his daughter Susan O’Connor and husband Bill; his daughter Linda Kramer and husband Nick; his step-daughter Donna Hirsch; his step-son Don Hirsch and wife Carol Duley; his sister Marieanne Crossman and husband Ted; and his brother Werner von Bergen and wife Enid. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Diane.

A memorial service will be held at the Community Church at Garden Spot, 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland, PA 17557 on June 7, 2017 at 2 PM with visitation following.
